My Wunderkeys™ program is going GREAT! I had 8 sign up for a free trial and 6 stayed on with me and are loving it! I have one family that drives 45 minutes to lessons because I am the only one teaching a program like this. (It’s pretty rural outside of Norman so that’s not a hugely unlikely thing, but still pretty cool they think it’s worth it). I just responded to two more inquiries this morning too. My only problem now is trying to get everyone into my getting jammed schedule. (Not complaining, nice problem to have!)

I have been using the WunderKeys Piano Program for a few of my youngest students since February 2012 and it is going very well! The book seems to move along at an appropriate pace and keeps them interested with the cute “finger friends” and stories. I’ve tried other methods with young students before and they usually get frustrated when they are pushed to move too fast or to learn things that they aren’t ready for, so I like how this program is developmentally appropriate and focuses on concepts that will also help them with math down the line. Music should be fun for little ones, and this program gives them lots of opportunity to play and learn at the same time!

I appreciate how the program has taken certain beginning concepts and broken them down to the very basics, for young children to visually understand ( higher, lower pitches, note length, rhythm patterns). Your emphasis on recognizing patterns with your finger character games is very creative. All of the “extras” on your website (songs, game cards, etc.) are such a plus!

My students love the finger puppets – they are adorable! I don’t think they will ever let me forget the finger rhymes or the “Wake Up Pointer Panda” song. I made laminated cards of all the finger friends and my students are arranging patterns already! I’ve even let them be the teacher and give me some examples to finish! I think this program is perfect for me being a first year piano teacher. I am starting out young, and what a fun age to start! They are genuinely excited, have lots of energy, and I believe I am laying a wonderful foundation for them through this program. They enjoy singing and moving to the songs. I’m even teaching the program to my daughter and she often asks me to sing the songs to her when it’s bedtime! They enjoy the card games and look forward to that after every lesson. I am often amazed when the lesson is over because time just flies by. I especially enjoy that there’s no cost to join the program. No training. I really like that they do the advertising for you and are always there to answer a question or need you may have in a very timely fashion. All in all, I really enjoy the program and would definitely recommend it to others looking to teach or wanting piano lessons for their preschooler.

It helps children to appreciate music and explore their own creativity in an atmosphere of support and encouragement, while building a strong musical foundation. Many of the concepts overlap with the principles of math they will be learning in kindergarten and they don’t even realize they are learning- it’s such fun!
